Teaching material analysis:
The lesson is chosen from page 71 of module 1 of book 2,whose type is speaking and listening.The key point of this module is the topic of our body and healthy eating. Ss show much enthusiasm for this.This part is about a lady’s experience of being in the hospital.In our daily life,we can meet this kind of situation.
Students analysis:
Ss of our class are more active according to their personalities.Some of them are willing to answer questions or perform plays,especially facing interesting topics. They are eager to express themselves. However, they are short of vocabulary and expressions. And to some extent, some introvert Ss are a little bit shy.
Teaching key points:
Teaching the Ss to describe pictures . And another one is talk about their own experience of seeing a doctor according to the listening.
Learning Objectives:
1. Ss are able to read the information from pictures, and predict the process based on the picture before listening.
2. Ss are able to understand the story while listen to linking words and verbs.
3. Ss are able to tell their own experience of seeing a doctor with the help of the listening part.
Teaching procedures
Step 1 Greetings
Step 2 Lead-in
Do a survey: Which food do you like?Do you think it is healthy or unhealthy?
Step 3 Pre-listening.
1. Words and expressions
Ss give the relationship between unhealthy eating, get ill and see a doctor .And at the same time review some words of this module.
2. Work in pairs to describe the picture. (tip : who, where, what)Step4 While-listening
Task 1 1).Read and put the sentences in the correct order (tip: pay attention to the linking words and verbs.)2).Listen to the conversation and check your answers
Task 2 Listen again and choose the correct answers.
(tip: Before listening ,you may read the stems and options quickly)
Task 3 Listen and fill in the blanks.( Tip :If you have no time to write down the whole word, you can write down the first letter to instead)
Step 5 Post-listeningPair work : Work in pairs to make a conversation about yourselves of the experience to see a doctor. Then show it in class.
Step 6 Emotional education
Having a healthy diet you will be healthier and healthier
Step 7 AssignmentTalk to your friend about his/her diet. And judge whether his/her diet is healthy or not. If not , please give him/her some advice.
反思:上完本节课,我认为在听前的预测部分如果让学生按照自己的经历来预测的话,可能可行性不是很强,因为每个人人去看病的经验不一样,也不可能跟这个材料的情况一样,所以就造成了学生在预测顺序的时候完成情况不好,在听第一遍的时候完成得也不好,从而影响了听力的第一部分.因此,我想如果换为就根据图片来预测,可能效果更好一些.
