Teaching aims:

  After the class, students can

  1. Know the English society in Victorian Times.

  2. Get the main idea of each paragraph with the key words fond in the passage.

  3. Find the evidence and supporting information for the main idea.

  4. Understand the negative effect made by the economic development.

Teaching procedure:

Part one: Reading practice :Dickens’ London

Step 1: Look at the title of the passage.What do you expect the writer to say?

Step 2:Look at the following pictures and talk about what you know about the London of Victorian Times.

Step 3:

Choose one from the five words “rich, poor, new, general, environmental” to fill in each blank.

Step 2:  Discussion: What negative influence does the economic development make to the society?


整节课感悟及反思:

优点:1、教师和学生的综合素质高。整节课几乎全英语教学。学生能听懂并能呢过积极地作出反应。

     2、教师上课前深挖了教材,整合了教材。

3、学生的倾听非常好,非常愿意从其他同学那学到东西。比如,学生在做值日报告的时候,很多同学都在自主地做笔记。

     4、小组讨论时,学生非常积极并愿意表达自己的观点等。

     5、师生互动时,当老师提出问题后,几乎所有学生都在回答,而不是少数学生回应……

建议:1、整节课教师讲的比较多,师生互动较多,生生互动相对少了一些。活动比较单一。如果活动形式再多样化以及留给学生思考和自主学习的时间再多一些,那么整节课在目标的达成方面会更好。
