Step I Greeting and Leading-in by listening to a song Yesterday Once More

(play the song) What is this natural disaster?

When I was young I’d listen  to the radio

waiting for my favorite song .

When they played I’d sing along…

【反思:引入以播放一首经典的英文歌歌曲Yesterday Once More的mtv录像视频,直观,生动,在视觉听觉极其享受的同时,很好的调动了学生的积极性,引起他们对课堂内容的兴趣。随后展示歌词,这首歌的歌词中大量的时间状语从句也是很巧妙的结合了所本堂课教学内容的主题。开课就可见老师的用心。】


Step II Adverbial Clauses of Time

Task 1: Read this passage and find out the adverbial clauses of time (时间状语从句) and circle the connective words

         When I was a child, I had heard many stories about life in America. Whenever I saw American movies, I imagined that one day I would be in a place like the one I saw. By the time I was 20, I finally decided to a785be to the U.S. As I was travelling to the U.S., I thought about all the stories about the beautiful country. But I really knew nothing about the US. until I came here.

        The moment I came to the U.S, I began working hard and trying to learn English. I haven't had time to meet Americans or had much fun since I started my job. While I'm at school, I talk to my classmates during breaks, but on the weekends I'm alone most of the time. I won't be able to make American friends until I learn more English.

Then ,Work in group of four to list the conjunctions and paired conjunction as many as possible .

【反思:这个环节让学生在一篇文章中找出时间状语从句并圈出时间状语从句的连词,此模块为选修7的内容,学生在之前对时间状语从句已经有学习,能判断时间状语从句和相应的连词,老师则改变了传统的一讲到底教授语法的方式,让学生在语境中复习状语从句的基础知识,更有实际意义更有效。

然后,让学生小组活动,列出状语从句的连词,并请一学生到黑板上当记录员,写下相应的词汇,对基础知识做了一个小归纳。 】

【反思:这个环节联系了上一个环节,把刚复习归纳过连词马上加以运用,让学生的记忆对连词的意义和使用有一个更好的理解和掌握。】

【反思:处理课本上对时间状语从句的学习内容,阅读句子,明确时间连词的含义,然后又用正确的连词完成文章。环环相扣,再一次复习巩固时间连词的含义和运用。】

Task 1: Play the song You Are the Sunshine of My Life

【反思:回归所教学模块的主题,承上启下。同时让学生对前面阅读文章中谈到的这首歌有了直观的听觉感受。】


Task 2: play the video Attraction win Britain's Got Talent

【反思:此处播放的英国达人秀的一场表演,震撼!此处选材经典、震撼,不管是上课的学生,还是观课的老师,无不屏声静气,为之感动。同时体现出了老师平时广泛的视觉和用心的积累】


Task 3: Suppose you are a reporter . After watching the show , you are interviewing the audience. Please work in pairs to a785bplete the interview

【反思:这个环节可谓课堂把课堂推向高潮,环环紧扣之下,此处老师在观看完令人震撼的表演之后,让学生小组活动讨论这场表演,改变传统的老师操控课堂的模式,让一位学生拿着话筒,担当reporter,来采访现场观看了表演的学生。从内容上,所有的问题都是以时间状语从句的问句方式来设计的,因为前面视频内容的铺垫,学生有亲身体验,有言可发,学生的积极性被充分的调动起来,双方的表现都是非常的优秀。此环节的设计紧密结合教学目标,达到了更开放自如的运用。】

【反思:承接上一环节,观看、讨论了关于爱的表演后让学生写一个关于爱的故事并谈论感受,达到情感的升华,写作任务中要求使用时间状语从句,以达到语言的综合输出。学生写作文,其中一个学生直接写在黑板上,然后学生站起来读自己的作文,然后共同欣赏黑板的作文,充分展示了学生的自主能动性。】


整节课感悟及反思:

陈老师这节课的课型是:语法—时间状语从句。她用歌词中富含时间状语从句的经典歌曲Yesterday Once More及其巧妙和紧凑的引入了语法的学习,一改传统一讲到底的枯燥单调收效低的语法教学模式,在语境中、情景中去感悟、体会、复习、练习、讨论、写作等多种生动、有趣、有意义的活动,多处听了音乐,很是享受。环环相扣、逐层推进,对时间状语从句的知识进行了一个目标清晰、重难点突出的学习,整堂课的设计颇具心思,节奏流畅,从输入到输出每一步都很精心,没有半点浪费的时间,都是在为目标语服务,学生在整个学习的过程中,积极主动,完全融入了课堂的学习之中。而我也是和同学们一样,完全沉浸在课堂的学习的愉悦之中,很是享受学习的乐趣。

总之,陈老师的这节课,和同学们一样,我获益匪浅。
