2.让学生了解有关灾难,如龙卷风、飓风的常识。
3.让学生了解文章的基本信息。
教学过程:
Step I Greeting and Leading-in:
T: Nice to have this English class with you. First of all, let’s share a video.
(play a video) What is this natural disaster?
S:Tornado.
T: Yes. Do you know other natural disasters? Let’s look at these pictures.
(show the pictures and display the names of disasters )
【反思:通过幻灯片上呈现的图片,让学生复习关于灾难的旧单词,学习新单词。很形象、直观,但感觉单词太多,学习口头练习少。】
Step II Vocabulary
Task 1: Match the words with their definitions.
bury ------ to place in the ground or tomb

extraordinary------unexpected, surprising, strange

Step VI: Try to describe an earthquake.
地震是一种突然的剧烈的地壳运动。全世界每天大概有400次地震发生。一般容易发生在山区。中国就是处在地震活跃区的国家之一。近年来最严重的一次就是2008发生在汶川的5.12大地震,房子瞬间被夷为平地, 造成共计69,185人死亡, 374,171人受伤。
【反思:用生活中的具体实例来让学生进行语言输出。】
整节课感悟及反思:
由于我是教初中的,对此教材和内容不熟悉。但我听后感觉初中阅读课的结构和高中都差不多。本次课整个流程很清晰,重难点明确,层层递进。但我觉得有两个个问题需要探讨:1、根据学生整节课的输出来看,课堂容量是不是稍大了点?2、整节课课堂较沉闷,学生的参与度不高。每个班都有各自的特点和不同,有活跃的或沉闷的班级,也有基础好或差的班级。如果是因为学生的基础差,那么我们可否把活动设计简单一点,活动形式多一点呢?了解学生,提高他们的学习兴趣,因材施教地去教。因为只有让学生参与到学习中来才能让他们学到本应学到的知识。
