学情分析


本次上课的孩子为四年级的学生。本阶段的孩子思维活跃,有丰富的想象力和表演欲,且有一定的英语基础,能用英语简单地表达自己的观点。



教材分析


本课内容是一个故事绘本,词汇量在320 词左右,故事内容有趣,语言具有重复性与积累性,故事情节紧凑,符合学生心理认知水平。



教学目标


通过绘本阅读,培养孩子的观察力、想象力、逻辑思维能力。通过对绘本故事的深入探讨,培养学生的逻辑思维能力以及分析评价的能力。




教学重难点


故事中出现了大量的动词过去式,可能给阅读带来一些理解上的障碍。



教具准备


点读笔、PPT、卡片、碗、纸质砖头等实物道具。

Ⅰ.Warm up



1. Greeting


2. Lead in :sing  “ wake up “ song  


1. Greet to the teacher


2. Ss watch the screen and try to sing along with the videos to get ready for the class.



根据教材内容创设情景,让学生迅速进入学习状态。

根据歌曲律动起来,迅速进入课堂,并熟悉本课关键词“wake up “,为接下来的故事学习做准备



Ⅱ.Lead in


Show the cover of the book

Q: what can you see? Q:Who is the woman?

Q:What is the story about?


1. Watch the cover and answer the question.

2. Try to predict the story.



通过读封面信息,学会绘本自主阅读方法

根据封面提示以及绘本标题对故事内容进行适当预测,引起学生的求知欲和探索欲;




Ⅲ. Story learning



Step 1: show the 1st picture and answer: who? What is he doing ? How is he walking like?

Why?

2. Read the page to the students.

3. Ask some students to ac out the new words “tip toe, crept out, slipped to”by reading the picture


Step 2:

1. Show the 2nd picture of the story and ask questions: Where is the king? What has he got? What should he do then?

2. Show the words of the page and read the story to the kids.

3. Find the reason for the king being so quietly: He didn’t want to wake up the queen and spoil the big surprise.


Step 3:

1. Show the 3rd & 4th picture of the story and answer: Where was the king ? What did he do ?

2. Read the story to the Ss

3.Q: How did he walk?--- Invite some Ss to act out the new words“crept to, whispered”


Step 4:

1. Show the following pictures of the story

2. Read from page 10page-page 11 to the Students

3. Ask the Ss to find out the verbs on the board and stick to finish the mind map on blackboard.

4. Choose some Ss to act out the king’s action

5. Divide the Ss in pairs and give each pair a unfinished mind map

读图,观察插图,预测故事发展,利用插图帮助理解文中出现的新单词










学生通过观察图片中人物的表情、动作,猜测故事发展。在猜测过程中教学设计层层递进,由易到难,培养学生学习的主动性,提高英语思维能力。

利用问题链的方式引导学生思考、理解故事










听音与读图相结合,加强学生的文本故事的理解。利用观察图片,表演的形式让学生理解生词,学会通过上下文和插图理解绘本,培养自主学习的能力


利用故事发展的脉络图帮助孩子理清故事发展的线索,通过前半部分的师范,让孩子最终学会制作思维导图,利用思维导图理解文本,培养自主学习能力。



Ⅳ. Practice


Divide the Ss into groups, and each group can choose one topic and discuss.

Questions:

1:  How is the king going to surprise the queen?

2:What did the queen mean when she said, “Don’t worry. You did.”?

3: Do you think this is a true story? Why / why not?

4: If you were the queen, do you like the surprise? Why\why not?

5:Where and when do you think the story happens? why?

Conclusion:


1.read the whole story again by themselves

2. Ss work in groups and choose one topic to discuss

3.Present their ideas


再次阅读故事,对整个故事进行回顾,分小组对故事内容进行讨论,培养学生思辨能力
