学习目标


知识目标:(1)能听得懂、会说、会读、会拼写单词postcard, more, thousand, million.

(2)能听得懂、会说、会读日常交际用语:Tell me more about…. How big is it? / Tell me something about… ”等问句,并能回答。

情感目标:学生能进一步了解中外的有名城市或者景点,并乐于用语言去分享。

能力目标:学生能积极主动参与活动,能运用所学知识去介绍城市或者景点。



学习重点、难 点


(1)单词postcard, more, thousand, kilometre, million的认读和识记。

(2)句型Tell me more about…的运用

How long/big is it? It’s about six thousand seven hundred kilometres.



课堂流程





导入


1. Greetings.

Free talk: Where did you go in summer holiday? Where is it??

2.Lead in.

T: I went to the Great Wall in summer holiday. Do you want to do with me?



课文学习


1. T: Look at this one, a postcard of the Great Wall. Now, tell me more about the Great Wall.

2.出示课件:学校图片,师生对照课件进行自由问答。(利用学生对周围事物的了解来进一步强化单词的学习)

T: Look, this is a picture of our school. It is very big. How many students are there in our school? 引入thousand并教读、板书,教师强调发音,学生相互模仿。

3.T:Look at the picture. Who are they?(对基础差的学生设置的简单问题)

S: They are Simon and Daming.

4.T: What are they talking about? Listen and find the answer.(鼓励学生带着问题去感受课文,让他们对课文有个整体的感知)

5.T:Please look at the picture one, what’s this?

S:It’s a picture of the Great Wall.

6.T:Can you tell me more about the Great Wall? Now, I want to invite students to ask questions about the Great Wall.(小组讨论)

S: How long is it?(拓展学生学会自主学习)

7.Look at the picture, guess what are they talking about?(学生观察第三幅图,猜测对话)

8.Listen and find the answer.

A:They are talking about New York.

9.Invite students to ask questions about New York.

10. Invite students to ask questions about Beijing.

11. Read the story together.

12. Retell the story.(小组合作)



 



拓展


Game: Tell me more(动物五选一)

教师示范描述其中一种动物特征.

学生用“Tell me more”句型获取更多的信息,

到猜出答案为止。

e.g. T: It’s big 



Ss: Tell me more.

  T: It has a long nose.

  Ss: Is it an elephant? / It’s an elephant.

  T: Yes, it’s an elephant.

  (小组内进行游戏活动,然后全班活动。)





家庭作业


听课本录音,熟练朗读对话对课本图画能进行描述。

用英语介绍你喜欢的景点。
